Hydro × Parsons Healthy Materials Lab Masterclass — Royal Norwegian Consulate, NYC.
Cross-industry convening on circular aluminum and healthy-material building systems, hosted at the Royal Norwegian Consulate General in New York City.
On 28 April 2026, Adaptable Structures attended the Hydro × Parsons Healthy Materials Lab Masterclass at the Royal Norwegian Consulate General in New York City. The convening brought together aluminum industry leaders, healthy-materials researchers, and architecture practitioners working at the intersection of circular materials and building construction.
The session was hosted at the Norwegian Consulate in recognition of Norway's leadership position in low-carbon primary aluminum production. Hydro is the largest integrated aluminum producer with low-carbon primary aluminum capacity at scale, and a signed Technical and Economic Discovery Agreement with Adaptable Structures (February 2026) underpins the planned US production deployment of the Anyplace system.
The Parsons Healthy Materials Lab, a programme of The New School in New York, is one of the leading academic research centres on healthy-material building product specification and is widely consulted by architects, building owners, and product manufacturers on the public-health performance of building materials.
The convening covered material certification frameworks, circular economy product design, and the path from policy commitments to specified product use in commercial and residential construction. Verified via Light Metal Age coverage of the event.
